Jessica Lee has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jessica co-founded BFS in 2021 and is currently in that position. Before that, they held multiple positions at The Mina Group from 2013, starting as the General Counsel & Vice President of Business Development and later becoming the Chief Strategy Officer & General Counsel. Prior to that, they worked in legal and business operations at Off the Grid: San Francisco from 2012 to 2013. Jessica also worked as an Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2008 to 2012, and as a Judicial Clerk at the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, Jessica had a summer associate position at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in 2006. Jessica began their career as a Marketing Analyst at Polaris Securities from 2003 to 2004, and as a Fund Compliance Analyst at Nuveen Investments from 2001 to 2003.

Jessica Lee has a diverse education history. Jessica attended Phillips Exeter Academy in 1996-1997. Then, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Chicago from 1997 to 2001, majoring in Economics, English Literature, and East Asian Studies. In 2002-2003, they attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, focusing on Financial Accounting, Corporate Governance, and Business Law. Jessica then completed their Juris Doctor degree at Harvard Law School from 2004 to 2007.

In terms of additional certifications, Jessica obtained the State of Illinois Bar in November 2007, the District of Columbia Bar in August 2011, and the State of California Bar in June 2013.
