Aparna Gullapalli, PhD, currently serves as a Research Scientist at The Mind Research Network since April 2019, focusing on deep learning methodologies for image and speech feature extraction under the supervision of Dr. Kent Kiehl. Earlier experience includes roles as a Project Scientist and Post-Doctoral Associate at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2009 to March 2013, where machine learning techniques were applied to spatiotemporal networks, and topic modeling algorithms were implemented for unstructured text data under the direction of Dr. Kathleen Carley. Additionally, experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Information Technology Helpdesk Consultant at Penn State University occurred from January 2002 to May 2009. Educational qualifications include a PhD and two Master’s degrees from Penn State University, along with a Bachelor's degree from Sardar Patel University.
