Elizabeth Agresta is an experienced editor currently serving at The MIT Press since September 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing the freelance copyediting and indexing of 15 to 20 manuscripts at a time, editing at least one book in-house annually since 2017, and managing all aspects of manuscript preparation for typesetting. In addition to in-house work, Agresta is self-employed as a freelance copyeditor, collaborating on various projects including books and journal articles. Previous roles include copyediting for Me Education, LLC, interning at Nicholas Brealey Publishing, and serving as a design intern at Barefoot Books. Agresta holds a Master’s Degree in Publishing from Emerson College and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Trinity College-Hartford.
