Doug Sommers

Doug Sommers has a diverse work experience in various industries. Doug began their career as a Senior Loss Prevention Representative at Liberty Mutual Insurance in 1992 and later joined Ritchie Corporation. At Ritchie Corporation, they held multiple roles including General Manager, EHS Manager, and Safety Director. In 2008, Doug served as the Vice President of Manufacturing at Blake Clotia LLC. Doug then worked as the Facilities/EHS Manager at Chance Rides Manufacturing, Inc. for a brief period in 2010 before joining Lehigh Hanson as an ESH Manager. Currently, they are the Vice President of Sales at The Monarch Cement Company, where they previously held roles as the Corporate Safety Director and the Marketing Director/Corporate Safety Director.

Doug Sommers attended Butler Community College from 1987-1989, where they earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Pre-Engineering. Doug then went on to attend Kansas State University from 1989-1992 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.
