Dr. Danette Maldonado is an experienced professional in education and behavioral support, currently serving as a Therapeutic Coach at The Monarch School and Institute since April 2021. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Maldonado has held various roles within Houston ISD, including Behavior Specialist, Principal, and Coordinator, where responsibilities included designing Behavior Intervention Plans, implementing multi-tiered support systems, and enhancing student achievement. Previous roles also encompass leadership positions at Southwest Schools, where coordination of education for residential treatment centers and multilingual program development took place. Dr. Maldonado holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Houston and has pursued further education in Applied Behavior Analysis.
