Roy McPherson

Roy McPherson is an experienced sports professional with a diverse background in community sport and youth coaching. Currently serving as the Principal Active Schools & Community Sport Officer at Moray Council since January 2022, Roy has also held roles such as Youth Academy Coach at Aberdeen Football Club since May 2014 and Community Sport Hub Officer at Aberdeenshire Council from September 2020 to January 2022. Previous positions include Club Development Officer at Scottish Golf and various roles at The Moray Council, including Senior Sport Officer and Active Schools Coordinator. Additionally, Roy worked as a 2020 Project Football Coach with the Scottish Football Association from August 2011 to May 2014. Roy holds a degree from the University of Aberdeen, earned between 2000 and 2004.
