Derek Serafin

Derek Serafin has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Derek started their career as a Contributing Writer at Daily Southtown and Static Multimedia in 2006. In 2009, they moved to Fishman Public Relations as an Account Executive before joining DePaul University as a Media Relations Specialist. In 2012, they joined Motion PR (later rebranded to The Motion Agency) as a Senior Account Executive, and later transitioned to the role of Account Supervisor. From 2016 to 2018, Derek worked as a Group Manager at Motion PR. Since 2018, they have been working at The Motion Agency, initially as an Account Manager, then as a Director, and currently as the Vice President.

Derek Serafin pursued their education in the field of journalism and marketing, focusing on print journalism, public relations, and multimedia. Derek completed their Bachelors degree in Print Journalism, Marketing, and Multimedia at Lewis University from 2002 to 2006.
