Andrew Peters

Machine Learning Research Lead at The Motley Fool

Andrew Peters has an extensive career in data science and research, starting as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh in 1998. Andrew then held various academic positions, including at The University of British Columbia and the University of Wisconsin. In 2011, they transitioned to industry, working at the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and later joining American Family Insurance as a Workforce Planning Senior Analyst. Over time, Andrew progressed to become a Data Science Manager at American Family Insurance. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Machine Learning Research Lead at The Motley Fool since 2021.

Andrew Peters earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The College of Wooster in 1991. Andrew pursued further education and obtained a PhD in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology with a minor in Statistics from Indiana University Bloomington in 2008.
