Beth Essig

General Counsel at The Mount Sinai Hospital

Beth Essig is currently the General Counsel at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Prior to that, they worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Hematology Oncology Practice at Montefiore Nyack Hospital from October 2018 to August 2019. Beth has also worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Mount Sinai Health System, Oncology from March 2017 to October 2018 and Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center from January 2015 to March 2017. Beth began their career as a Critical Care RN in the Pediatric ICU at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in September 2000 and continued in that role until May 2013 when they became a Clinical Instructor for BSN students at NYU for their pediatric clinical rotation.

Beth Essig attended Pace University, where they earned their MSN in the field of Family Nurse Practitioner. Beth also holds a BSN from New York University in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, and a Master of Science in Health Care Management from New York University. Beth is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and they also hold certifications from the American Heart Association in PALS, ACLS, and BLS.

Beth Essig reports to Kenneth L. Davis, President & CEO. They work with Kristin Myers - EVP, Chief Information Officer, and Dean for Information Technology, Mount Sinai Health System, Arthur A. Gianelli - Chief Transformation Officer, Mount SInai Health & President, Morningside Hospital, and Beth Oliver - SVP and Chief Nursing Executive, Mount Sinai Health System.
