Fiona Desland

Fiona Desland is an Internal Medicine Resident at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where Fiona has been since July 2021. Fiona holds an MD/PhD in Neuroscience from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, completed in May 2021, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida, obtained in 2011. Prior to her residency, Fiona gained valuable experience as a Research Technician in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from May 2012 to April 2013, and as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Department of Physiology and Functional Genomics at the University of Florida from December 2009 to May 2012. In addition, Fiona pursued a summer research internship in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011.
