Greta Deerson

Greta Deerson has over a decade of experience in social work, currently serving as a Transplant Social Worker at The Mount Sinai Hospital since July 2012, specializing in renal transplant. Prior to this role, Greta held positions as the Repair the World Coordinator of Social Justice and Service Learning at Hillel and completed internships at St. Louis Integrated Health Network and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, gaining experience in oncology, general surgery, and ICU. Earlier in 2010, Greta was an intern at Discovering Options, focusing on drug and alcohol prevention and mentoring, and served as a counselor for the Nativ College Leadership Program from 2007 to 2008. Greta holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a focus on Health and Mental Health from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
