Matthew Carr

Matthew Carr is a Neurosurgery Resident at The Mount Sinai Hospital since July 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Junior Project Leader and Medical Scribe at ScribeAmerica from November 2014 to July 2016, and a Research Consultant at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation from June 2013 to August 2014. Prior research positions were held as a Research Assistant at the Center for Addictions, Personality, and Emotion Research from August 2012 to December 2013, and at the Laboratory for Automation Psychology and Decision Processes in August 2011. Matthew Carr earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine from 2016 to 2020, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences with a focus on Neurobiology and Physiology, Psychology from the University of Maryland from 2010 to 2014. Education was completed with a High School Diploma and International Baccalaureate Diploma from Richard Montgomery High School in 2010.
