Ade Cottrell

Ade Cottrell has a diverse work experience in the field of UI design and video game development.

Starting in 2005, Ade worked as a Senior Team Member at Odeon & UCI Cinemas until 2010.

From 2010 to 2011, Ade served as a Graphic Designer at Pro-Mo Media where they contributed to rebranding efforts and provided graphic design support for video production.

In 2010, Ade joined Codemasters as a QA Technician, responsible for testing their software titles on Xbox360. They also handled bug reports and issue verification using tools like JIRA.

At Playground Games, Ade had multiple roles starting in 2011. Initially, they served as an Experienced QA Technician, testing Playground Games titles and tools for creating in-game assets.

From 2014 to 2021, Ade worked as an Experienced UI Artist at Playground Games, contributing to multiple Forza Horizon titles. They were responsible for concept and implementation of UI and UX, as well as managing UI, UX, and marketing materials for live content post-release.

From 2021 to 2023, Ade took on the role of Senior UI Artist (Group Lead) at Electric Square, where they acted as a lead for the Electric Square artists working on NFS Unbound. They were involved in concepting UI screens, collaborating with the Technical Artists, and providing pre-vis videos to communicate the game's art style.

Currently, Ade is working as a Lead UI Artist at The Multiplayer Group (MPG), where they are responsible for building a team to support UI Design on multiple AAA projects for major publishers. Their role involves setting clear expectations and working with other crafts throughout the studio to produce high-quality UI.

Throughout their career, Ade has consistently demonstrated expertise in UI design, collaboration with other teams, and ensuring the quality of UI in various projects.

Ade Cottrell attended Whitley Abbey Community School from 1997 to 2003. However, no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. Later, from 2005 to 2009, Ade Cottrell studied at Coventry University, where they earned a BA Hons degree in Graphic Design.
