Lewis Hurd

Lewis Hurd serves as the Director of Affordable Housing for The Municipality of Princeton since January 2023. With extensive experience in community development, Hurd has been the Executive Director (Emeritus) at Premier Community Development Corporation since 2006, and previously held the position of Acting Director of Finance at the Housing Authority of Plainfield from October 2014 to March 2023. Hurd's background includes roles as Deputy Director/Director of Redevelopment at the Housing Authority of Plainfield from 2006 to 2014, and Vice President, Community Development Officer at both Wachovia Corp and Fleet Bank between 2005 and 2006, as well as from 1995 to 2004. Early career experience includes serving as a Community Reinvestment Act Organizer at NJ Citizen Action from 1993 to 1995. Hurd holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Kean University.
