Reid Shepherd, MCIP, LPP is currently the Manager of Planning at The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, where they are leading the development of a comprehensive municipal planning strategy. They also serve as a Sessional Instructor at Dalhousie University, co-teaching a course for second-year Masters of Planning students. With a background in planning at various municipalities and consulting firms, Reid has extensive experience in land use planning, policy development, and project management. They hold a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Dalhousie University, among other relevant degrees and certifications.

The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is a district municipality in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. We are the third-largest rural municipality in Nova Scotia in terms of total property assessment and encompass a geographic area representing over 432,000 acres. Our municipality surrounds the towns of Bridgewater, Lunenburg, and Mahone Bay, which are incorporated separately and not part of the district municipality. The Municipality is home to a population of over 24,863.
