Brian Nelson

Brian Nelson is an accomplished executive in the insurance industry, currently serving as Chief Claim Officer at The Mutual Group since January 2024. Prior to this role, Brian held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Claim Officer at GuideOne Insurance from July 2017 to January 2024. Brian's experience also includes significant leadership roles at Nationwide Insurance, where responsibilities included oversight of the Agribusiness Workers Compensation Department, and at Travelers, where Brian managed claims activities for multiple states. Brian holds a Master of Business Administration from Drake University and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Northern Iowa.
