Katie Johnson

Katie Johnson, PHR, SHRM-CP, currently serves as the Director of Strategic HR Partnerships at The Mutual Group since June 2024, where responsibilities include leading talent acquisition, employee relations, engagement, and fostering strategic partnerships with senior leadership. Previously, Katie held the same title at GuideOne Insurance from September 2019 to June 2024. Prior to that, Katie served as Senior Human Resources Manager at Spectra from January 2007 to September 2019, acting as a business partner for the Midwest and Western regions. Earlier experience includes the role of Executive Team Leader at Target from January 2003 to December 2006, managing various store departments and participating in district training. Career beginnings involved door-to-door sales as a salesperson with Southwestern Company from January 2001 to May 2002, which included recruiting and training additional sales members. Education was obtained at the University of Northern Iowa and West Bend Mallard.
