Joshua Fitzgerald

Joshua Fitzgerald is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Director of Education and Children's Services at The National Autistic Society since March 2023. Previously, Joshua held the role of Director at ILLUME EDUCATION from June 2022 to 2024, providing school support and improvement services. Joshua's extensive background includes positions such as Operations Director at both Aspris and the Priory Group, and various leadership roles at Cambian Group, where management responsibilities spanned specialist education provisions focusing on ASC, trauma services, and SEMH. Joshua's earlier experience includes significant roles in secondary and post-16 education, with a strong emphasis on quality management and improvement, curriculum development, and staff professional development. Joshua holds a PGCE in Secondary Biology from the University of the West of England and a BSc (Hons) in Ecology from the University of Kent.
