Susan Darlow is an experienced oncology scientist and medical writer currently serving as the Manager of Guidelines Information Standardization at the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) since April 2015. In this role, Susan develops and updates content for various clinical practice guidelines in oncology, focusing on cancers of the head and neck, thyroid, and central nervous system, alongside guidelines for distress management and hereditary cancer risk. Previously, Susan held positions at Fox Chase Cancer Center, including Adjunct Assistant Research Professor and Assistant Research Professor, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Susan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Social and Health Psychology from Stony Brook University and a B.A. in Psychology from The College of New Jersey.
