Laura Schepis

Laura Schepis serves as the Executive Director of Regulatory and Industry Affairs for The Grid at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) since September 2024. Prior roles include Strategic Advisor at Joy Ditto Consulting and Chief External Affairs and Compliance Officer at JEA, where Laura contributed to the organization’s recovery during a leadership and financial crisis. Laura previously led national security efforts at the Edison Electric Institute and directed programs for ENERGY FAIRNESS and the American Public Power Association. Laura's extensive career in public policy and utility affairs is underpinned by a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
