Stephen Watson has a diverse work experience with a focus on development, marketing, and operations management. Stephen began their career at the University of New Orleans as an Instructor of Marketing from 2000 to 2002. Stephen then moved on to WWNO, where they served as Membership Manager from 1998 to 2000 and later as Director of Development and Marketing from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, they joined The National WWII Museum, initially serving as Director of Membership Programs until 2004. From 2004 to 2007, they held the position of Associate Vice President of Development. Stephen was later promoted to Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, a role they held from 2007 to 2013. From 2014 to 2017, Stephen served as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, and in July 2017 they became President & Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
Stephen Watson earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marketing from Nicholls State University, which they attended from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they studied Agricultural Economics at the University of Aberdeen for one year, from 1993 to 1994. Stephen also completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Nicholls State University from 1997 to 1998. Before their university studies, they attended Brechin High School from 1987 to 1993.
