Michelle Beistle

Michelle Beistle has a strong background in ethics, compliance, and privacy. Michelle has served as the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at The Nature Conservancy since 2019, where they lead a global program and provides strategic leadership to mitigate risks and foster a culture of integrity and trust. Prior to this, they worked at Unisys from 2008 to 2019, holding various roles including Chief Compliance Officer - Privacy & Ethics and Chief Privacy Counsel and Privacy Officer. In these roles, they designed and implemented global compliance and privacy programs, led cross-functional teams, and provided legal support on a range of issues. Before joining Unisys, Michelle worked as an Attorney at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP from 1997 to 2008.

Michelle Beistle earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations from Boston University in 1991. Michelle later attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree in 1997. Additionally, Michelle has obtained certifications such as CCEP-I, CIPM, CIPP/EU, and CIPP/US from institutions like the Compliance Certification Board and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
