Valentina Salcedo

Project Management Coordinator at The Nature Conservancy

Valentina Salcedo has diverse work experience in various organizations. Valentina began their career as an Assistant Researcher at Profesores - Universidad del Norte, where they provided support in writing a chapter for a book on post-conflict in Colombia and assisted in collecting information for Environmental Licenses. Valentina then worked as a Social Ventures Trainee at Impala Terminals, managing a database of socio-economic characteristics of municipalities and supporting the manager in monitoring and analyzing project results. Valentina also served as a Project Professional at Colombiagol, where they developed the business plan for the mobile application 'Confirmapp' and led its participation in the Ministry of Technologies program. Valentina then worked as an External Economic Consultant at METRILAB LTDA before joining FAO as a Professional Monitoring and Evaluation, M&E. In this role, they were responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of project operational plans, preparing progress and execution reports, coordinating project teams, tracking indicators related to the 2030 Agenda and gender, identifying and mitigating risks, and formulating monitoring strategies for regional and international projects. Most recently, Valentina Salcedo is working as a Lead Project Analyst at The Nature Conservancy.

Valentina Salcedo completed their Master's degree in Project Management from Universidad del Norte in 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same university between 2014 and 2017.
