Valerie Malter has extensive work experience in various roles within the investment management industry. Valerie is currently serving as the Director of Strategy for the Impact Management Team at NatureVest, a division of The Nature Conservancy. Prior to this, Valerie was the Co-Founder and CEO of Matarin Capital Management, an investment management firm specializing in quantitatively driven strategies. Valerie has also held roles as the Director of the Wharton Program for Social Impact at The Wharton School, Managing Director at JPMorgan Investment Management, and Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Zurich Scudder Investments. Valerie began their career as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Chancellor Capital Management.

Valerie Malter completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Boston University from 1976 to 1980. Valerie later pursued an MBA at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, studying from 1983 to 1984.
