The Institute is particularly well known for its wide range of specialist maritime books and guides which members can purchase at a discounted rate. We also accredit a number of maritime technical training schemes.

The Training and Development team at The Nautical Institute is responsible for creating, accrediting, and facilitating educational programs and technical training schemes to elevate the professional competencies of maritime professionals. This includes managing specialized courses, such as Dynamic Positioning (DP) training, oil spill response training, and safety and environmental education, thereby ensuring that members have access to high-quality, accredited learning resources.
