Nicholas Convery, MBA, CPCU has a diverse and extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Nicholas started their career at Plymouth Rock Assurance in 1998, where they held various roles within the Claims Department, including Claims Investigator and Bodily Injury Claims Representative. Nicholas then progressed to become a Claims Supervisor, managing a team responsible for handling Bodily Injury, Personal Injury, and Property Damage claims.
In 2008, Convery joined OneBeacon Insurance as a Supervisor of Commercial Claims. In this role, they managed a team handling Commercial Liability claims nationwide, including General Liability, Products Liability, and Automobile Liability claims.
Since 2011, Convery has been working at The Norfolk & Dedham Group, starting as a Supervisor of Claims and eventually moving up to become the Assistant Chief Claims Officer. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Claims Officer, overseeing the performance of the Claims Division and collaborating with other senior leaders.
Throughout their career, Convery has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a focus on improving claims operations and services. Nicholas'sexpertise spans both litigated and non-litigated claim cases, and they have a particularly strong background in managing claims associated with automobile insurance policies.
Nicholas Convery, MBA, CPCU completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, studying from 1997 to 2002. Nicholas later pursued further education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Managerial Leadership, from 2019 to 2021.
In addition to their formal education, Nicholas Convery has obtained several certifications. Nicholas obtained the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) certification from The Institutes in December 2016. In February 2016, they acquired the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification from the same institution. Prior to that, in November 2015, they attained the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation, and in April 2015, they earned the Associate in General Insurance (AINS) certification, both from The Institutes. Furthermore, Nicholas Convery holds a license as a Licensed Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser granted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, obtained in January 2007.
