Laura Lucas has extensive experience in financial coaching and management, currently serving as the Senior Financial Coach Manager at The Neighborhood Developers since April 2012, having previously held the position of Financial Coach. Prior to this, Laura worked at YWCA Malden from 2005 to April 2012 as the Manager of Financial Capacity. Laura's career began at MIT, where responsibilities included Training Manager and Assistant Manager of Systems from 1989 to 2004. Academically, Laura holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Boston University and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Northeastern University, which began in 2010.

We, The Neighborhood Developers (TND), promote economic diversity, opportunity, and quality of life in the communities of Chelsea, Revere, and Everett. Our work strives to create affordable, welcoming communities for generations to come. We are a community development organization and we choose to put the emphasis on COMMUNITY. To create equitable change, we utilize our vision, resources, and most importantly - community voices, leadership, and action! We are committed to comprehensive, resident-led community development of neighborhoods in our communities. Our mission is to create strong neighborhoods enabling community members to secure a stable home, achieve economic mobility, and determine their own future.
