Roel Willems is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of social sciences and neuroscience. Currently serving as a member of the Integrity Committee at Utrecht University and a confidential advisor for whistleblower regulations at Radboud University, Roel also holds the position of senior researcher at the Netherlands Institute for Social Research (SCP) and hosts a podcast on basic statistics called Audiostatistiek. Roel co-owns Kolibri statistiek, a consultancy and training firm. Previously an associate professor and senior researcher at Radboud University and Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, Roel has focused on the neural basis of language and literature comprehension using neuroimaging techniques. Academic credentials include a PhD in Social Sciences from Radboud University and a Master of Science in Psychology from Maastricht University, alongside ongoing studies for a Master of Arts in Philosophy.
