Sander Kunst currently serves as a Wetenschappelijk medewerker at the Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau, focusing on the Nederland Internationaal (NLI) program since August 2021. Previously, Sander was a Promovendus in sociology at the Universiteit van Amsterdam from July 2016 to August 2021, where the dissertation explored the educational divide in openness towards globalization within Western Europe. Sander also worked as an Onderzoeksassistent, conducting physiological experiments on emotions and political opinions at various locations, including the Museum voor Beeld en Geluid. Sander holds a PhD in Sociology and a Master of Science in Social Sciences (Research) from the Universiteit van Amsterdam, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the same institution. Early education was completed at SG Huizermaat, culminating in a VWO diploma.
