Yoko Tajimi has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Yoko began their career at Highbridge Woodycrest Center Incorporated as a Music Therapist in 2001. Yoko then worked as a Creative Arts Therapist at HEBREW HOME FOR THE AGED - RIVERDALE for a year. From 2002 to 2005, Yoko served as a Recreation Therapist at Florence Nightingale Health Center. Yoko then joined AMSTERDAM NURSING HOME CORPORATION as a Music Therapist until 2008. Yoko subsequently joined Isabella Center, where they held roles as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and later as a Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Specialist from 2008 to 2018. Following this, Yoko worked as a Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Specialist at Isabella House & Isabella Center from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Manager, Quality and Risk Management at The New Jewish Home starting from April 2020. In May 2022, Yoko transitioned to the role of Director of Client Experience and Special Projects at the same organization, and as of January 2023, they are the Director of Client Experience and Meaningful Life.
Yoko Tajimi has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Services Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego. Yoko also holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Music Therapy from New York University and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Oberlin College. In addition, Yoko has obtained various certifications including a Certificate in Professional Aging Services Risk Management (CPASRM) from ECRI, a License as Creative Arts Therapist from the Office of the Professions, NYSED, an Advanced Certificate in Nursing Home Administration from the State University of New York College at Oswego, and a QAPI Certification from AAPACN.
