Michele Kahane

Co-founder And Co-director, Carelab at The New School

Michele Kahane is a Professor of Professional Practice in Management and Social Innovation at The New School's Milano School, teaching graduate courses in strategic design, social innovation, and related fields since July 2009. Currently serving as the Director of the Masters Program in Strategic Design and Management at Parsons School of Design, Michele co-founded and co-directs CareLab, which focuses on building a caring economy through research and social engagement. Michele also played a significant role in creating university-wide initiatives, such as the Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative and The New School Collaboratory, aimed at increasing access to entrepreneurship education and promoting socially engaged pedagogy. Previous experience includes leadership roles at the Clinton Foundation, Boston College, the Ford Foundation, and Chemical Bank, complemented by advanced degrees from Columbia University and Princeton University.
