Jonathan Blitzer

Jonathan Blitzer is a seasoned journalist and writer with extensive experience in both freelance and staff roles. Since September 2013, Jonathan has been a staff writer and contributing writer for The New Yorker, focusing on American politics and cultural issues within the Spanish-speaking world. Previous roles include contributing columnist for the International New York Times, where Jonathan covered on-the-ground reporting and opinion pieces primarily about the European debt crisis, and a culture reporter for The Wall Street Journal. Jonathan also has a background in editing and translation, having served as an editor for Words Without Borders and as a translator for the CELS in Argentina. Jonathan's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from Columbia University.
