The News Literacy Project
Brittney S. currently serves as the Senior Manager of Education Partnerships for the East region at The News Literacy Project, a position held since July 2022. Prior to this role, Brittney worked as an Education Specialist at NASA for a brief period in June to July 2022 and as the Science Department Chair at Cincinnati Public Schools from August 2018 to July 2022, where responsibilities included analyzing learner data and designing interventions aligned with the district's strategic initiatives. Brittney's teaching experience includes positions as a Science Teacher at both Princeton City School District and Cincinnati Public Schools, as well as being a Classroom Teacher at Eden Grove Academy. Brittney has also completed a Research Assistant Internship at the National Science Foundation. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education in STEM Education from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Mount St. Joseph University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cincinnati.

The News Literacy Project empowers educators to teach students the skills they need to be smart, active consumers of news and other information and engaged, informed participants in civic life. It also provides people of all ages with tools and resources that enable them to identify credible information and know what to trust, share and act on.
