David Gelhaar

David Gelhaar serves as the Hotel General Manager at The Newt in Somerset since May 2025. Prior to this role, David was the Director of Front of House at Chiltern Firehouse from September 2014 to May 2025, and held various positions including Guest Relations Executive during that time. David also worked at Blakes Hotel in London from November 2016 to May 2021, where responsibilities included Front Of House Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager, and Guest Services Manager. Earlier experience includes a role in Front Office at Nobis Hotel from November 2010 to September 2013. David holds an SQA Diploma in Hospitality Administration/Management from West London College, completed from January 2013 to January 2014.
