Angel Castaner

Angel Castaner is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and administrative roles. Currently serving as a Teacher and Summer School Principal at The Next Step Public Charter School since August 2014, Angel has presided over meetings, addressed regulatory issues, and coordinated cross-departmental efforts to enhance student learning. Prior experience includes roles as a Spanish GED Teacher, ESL Instructor at ELS Educational Services, and Lecturer in English as a Second Language at Montgomery College. With a strong emphasis on lesson differentiation, test-taking strategies, and technology integration, Angel has also provided private tutoring and worked with various education institutions, including a long-term position as a substitute teacher with the District of Columbia Public Schools. Angel holds a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology from American University and a Master of Education from The George Washington University.
