Joshua Brown

Joshua Brown is a seasoned educational leader with extensive experience in program management and organizational engagement. Currently serving as the Chief Program Officer at The Next Step Public Charter School since January 2018, Joshua oversees all cross-functional programs and plays a vital role in implementing the school's strategic vision. Previous roles include Senior Director of Engagement, Marketing, and Outreach and Director of Administration at the same institution, as well as Director of Operations at City Arts and Prep Public Charter School, where responsibilities included managing diverse operational teams and enhancing student enrollment. Joshua began their career in property management as a Leasing Marketing Manager at Post Properties. Joshua holds a Master's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences from North Carolina Central University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Livingstone College.
