Maria Paz Gatica Riquelme

Maria Paz Gatica Riquelme is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in curriculum development and bilingual instruction. Since May 2017, Maria Paz has served as Co-Principal and Curriculum Director at The Next Step Public Charter School, also holding a previous role as Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to this, Maria Paz worked with Educational Data Systems Incorporated as a Bilingual Instructor, developing workshops and materials in both English and Spanish. Educational experience includes teaching at Temple University and Arcadia University, where Maria Paz designed various English language courses. Additionally, significant contributions were made while working for the Chilean Ministry of Education, where Maria Paz coordinated numerous teacher networks and professional development initiatives. Maria Paz holds a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
