Michael J. Cuellar

Michael J. Cuellar possesses extensive experience in educational leadership and instruction, currently serving as Co-Principal at The Next Step Public Charter School since 2016, with previous roles including Assistant Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Instructional Coach. Prior experience includes teaching positions at Columbia Heights Educational Campus, Irving Independent School District, and Thomas Jefferson High School, alongside an adjunct role at Richland College and ESL teaching at Elite Language Institute. Education includes ongoing doctoral studies in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Virginia, a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University, and a BA in Philosophy and Comparative Literature from the University of Southern California.
