Thorson Wegener

Thorson Wegener currently serves as Continuous Improvement Manager at The Ocean Cleanup since November 2021, having previously held the position of Sr Operations Manager - Rivers. Prior to this role, Thorson Wegener worked at EQUANS from October 2018 to November 2021, where responsibilities included Sr Project Lead for multiple projects, such as Thermal Energy Storage at Schiphol Airport and biomass anaerobic digestion in Israel. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Bluewater Energy Services from June 2006 to November 2018, where Thorson Wegener held roles such as Project Interface Engineer and Contract Manager, contributing to significant projects such as the conversion of the Bluewater FPSO AOKA MIZU. Thorson Wegener's educational background includes a degree in Business Engineering from Inholland University of Applied Sciences and a Mechanical degree from ROC Vlissingen.
