Karla Maldonado

Karla Maldonado serves as the Human Resources Manager at The Ocean House since March 2023, previously holding the same position at Newport Hotel Group from May 2022 to March 2023. Karla has extensive experience in hospitality management, having worked as a Task Force Manager at The Ocean House from September 2020 to June 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing front-of-house operations for food and beverage as well as the rooms division at a Triple Five Star Forbes Rated Hotel. Early career roles include positions as Assistant General Manager at Sen Japanese Restaurant and Bay Kitchen Bar, as well as Bartender at Nick and Tonys and Bar Manager at Bay Kitchen Bar Restaurant. Karla's journey in the hospitality industry began at Nobu Miami Beach as a Food Service Attendant, and additional roles feature Guest Services Manager at SBE Entertainment and Assistant Front Office Manager at Morgans Hotel Group. Karla holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, earned from 2002 to 2008.
