Marissa Garcia

Marissa Garcia is a skilled professional in urban planning and design, currently serving as a Public Realm Design Specialist at OJB Landscape Architecture since July 2023. Previously, Marissa worked as an Urban Planner/Designer at Halff Associates from July 2022 to June 2023 and gained experience as a Planning Intern at The Municipal Art Society of New York in early 2022. At Pratt Institute, Marissa held the position of Co Editor for Place Dialogues while also working as a Project Coordinator at Public Works Partners. Early professional experiences include an internship with the City of San Antonio Neighborhood and Housing Services Department and serving as an Assistant Instructor at YAP CampARCH. Marissa's foundational experience began as a Junior Counselor at the Jewish Community Center of San Antonio. Marissa holds a Master's degree in Urban Placemaking and Management from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Science in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Texas A&M University, complemented by a study abroad program in Urban Planning at Akademie für internationale bildung.
