Jason Orcena

Jason Orcena is an experienced public health professional and educator with a diverse background. Currently serving as a Lecturer in 'Introduction to Global Public Health' at The Ohio State University since August 2018, Orcena also holds the position of Health Commissioner and Director of Health Education & Community Partnerships at the Union County Health Department since 2002. Additionally, Orcena was a Public Health Leader in Residence at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health from August 2020 to May 2022 and has experience as Adjunct Faculty in Sociology and Psychology at Marion Technical College from 1996 to 2002. Jason Orcena holds a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Illinois Chicago, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Psychology, respectively, from The Ohio State University.
