Shiyu Zhang

Shiyu Zhang is an accomplished academic in the field of chemistry, currently serving as an Associate Professor at The Ohio State University since June 2017, following a tenure as Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Associate role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from September 2015 to May 2017, where Shiyu Zhang focused on Inorganic Chemistry, specifically in the Cummins Lab, working on lithium-air batteries and molecular recognition. Shiyu Zhang earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Georgetown University, where research involved bioinorganic chemistry and synthetic models for copper electron transfer sites. Academic training began with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Jilin University.
