David Edwards

David Edwards, CFA, currently serves as Associate Director of Risk at The Olayan Group since October 2023. Prior to this role, David held various positions at Investec Wealth & Investment UK from October 2012 to October 2023, including Head of Operational Risk and Senior Manager of Operational Risk, where responsibilities included the development, maintenance, and execution of the Operational Risk Framework, Conduct Risk Framework, and ICAAP. Earlier experience includes working as a Risk Manager at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. and as a Risk Consultant at IQ Business, contracted to Nedbank Capital in Operational Risk. David's educational background includes an Hons BSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Mathematical Sciences from Stellenbosch University, as well as secondary education at Cornwall Hill College.
