Katie Marsh

Deputy Head of Communications at The Old Vic

Katie Marsh is the Deputy Head of Communications at The Old Vic. Katie has previously worked as a publicist for the BBC and the National Theatre.

Katie has extensive experience in managing communications campaigns for high-profile dramas, including A Very English Scandal, Les Miserables, The Cry, The Long Song, Gentleman Jack, The Boy with the Topknot, The Barking Murders, Doing Money and Shetland. Katie is skilled in generating favourable media coverage and raising the profile of each drama they work on.

Katie is also experienced in managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including commissioners, executive producers, talent, agents, personal publicists, international distributors and studios. Katie is responsible for organising press conferences, premiere screenings, launches and briefings, as well as handling requests for interviews and audience engagement activity.

Katie has chaperoned international and UK set visits for journalists to visit filming of BBC dramas and interview the cast, observe filming and meet with the creative teams.

Katie Marsh studied theatre and performance studies at the University of Warwick and Godolphin and Latymer.
