Spencer Meade

Spencer Meade is a seasoned legal professional specializing in content protection within the music industry. Since December 2015, Spencer has held various positions at Universal Music Group, currently serving as Director of Legal, Content Protection, where responsibilities include overseeing anti-piracy efforts related to merchandise and assessing fair use in content. Prior experience includes roles at Sony Music Entertainment, where Spencer reviewed contracts and conducted internet research for music re-issues, as well as internships focusing on copyright ownership and potential litigation cases. In addition, Spencer contributes as a Sports Headline Contributor for The Onion. Spencer holds a law degree with a focus on Intellectual Property Law from Cardozo School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from the University of Minnesota.
