Alexis Bird

Alexis Bird is a financial professional with extensive experience in accounting and finance roles. Currently serving as Financial Controller at The Open Group since December 2021, Alexis previously held positions at Haines Watts as Audit and Accounts Senior and Audit and Accounts Assistant while pursuing the ICAEW ACA qualification. Earlier experience includes working as an Accounts Assistant at Whitakers Chartered Accountants, where duties involved data posting, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and creating accounts for new companies. Prior to that, Alexis worked as a Waitress at Fresh Bistro and completed a work experience placement at Nalders LLP. Academically, Alexis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics for Finance from Swansea University and completed A-levels and GCSEs at Newquay Tretherras.
