Rance Delong

Staff Scientist at The Open Group

Rance DeLong is a highly experienced professional with a focus on trusted systems and secure software development. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at The Open Group since 2011, Rance leads the MILS Initiative and chairs the MILS API Working Group. Rance has also contributed to the ProSEco Project and serves as a consultant specializing in MILS research and trusted mobile solutions. In addition, Rance advises on the DARPA CRASH-funded project for SRI International and the University of Cambridge. Rance has been an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University and has held senior roles at various esteemed organizations, including LynuxWorks, Trusted Systems Laboratories, Lockheed Martin, Sun Microsystems, and IntelliGenetics. Rance's educational background includes degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and Philosophy from Moravian University, Lehigh University, and Stanford University.
