Sally Long has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Sally began their career at Eastman Kodak in 1983 as a Diagnostic Engineer and stayed with the company until 1991. Sally then joined Open Software Foundation (OSF) as a Release Engineering Manager from 1991 to 1995. After that, they worked as a DCE Release Manager at Open Software Foundation from 1992 to 1995. In 1998, they became a part of The Open Group as the Director of Bus-Dev Consortia Services, where they also contributed to business development and program definition for certification programs. In 2009, Sally took on the role of Director for the OTTF at The Open Group, focusing on the development and implementation of the Open Trusted Technology Provider™ Standard and Accreditation Program.
Sally Long obtained their first degree at The Ohio State University from 1971 to 1976, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Occupational Therapy/Therapist. Following that, they attended Northeastern University from 1978 to 1983, where they completed their second Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, this time in Electrical Engineering.
