Gwen Shapard

Gwen Shapard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Gwen currently serves as the Director of Quality & Data at The Other Ones Foundation, a nonprofit in Austin, TX, where they oversee various humanitarian aid and transitional shelter programs. Prior to that, they worked as a Performance Specialist at the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, assisting in the implementation of affordable housing programs. Gwen also worked at Any Baby Can, where they held multiple roles including Data Manager and Data & Information Coordinator, responsible for reporting program outcomes, managing databases, and troubleshooting data collection challenges. Gwen has experience in back office operations and grants management from their time at BakerRipley and Foundation Communities, where they managed tax return processing and supervised seasonal staff. Additionally, they worked for the City of Fort Worth as a Planner, contributing to the city's Comprehensive Plan and conducting research on demographics and municipal data. Gwen Shapard obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies from Trinity University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Community & Regional Planning at The University of Texas at Austin from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Gwen Shapard obtained a certification as a Certified Occupancy Specialist from the National Center for Housing Management in May 2021.
